you will notice a pretty big difference in benchmarks. everyday usage, maybe...just depends on what everyday usage is for you, ya know?

Yeah, since you have a dual core you can't really notice it on your desktop, but for me 1.9ghz and 2.91ghz is a biiiig difference in games

well i do notice that i can be installing a program and listen to music, burn stuff or check my mail with no slowdown...whichis pretty good.

I just expected a big increase in game performance, which didnt happen i understand why. Well i use to get a lot of lag and its way better now.
I use to have an emachines t6420, im still using the same hard drive and dvd burner and 1 gb of the ram i got from them, the rest is all upgraded.
Once i get my student loan i might plan to build a whole new pc, or just get the 8800gtx or ultra.
im not sure though. I care more about game performance than how fast applications work. As long as i get a gf that will be able to max out every game, ill be fine, thats why im looking more at the ultra than gtx.
