9600GSO softmodding?

According to this site [Link removed... contains a virus]
you can soft mod a 9600GSO in to a 8800GTS 512MB
Can any one confirm this?

sounds suspicious to me. maybe there like the 7900gto where they where using refubished gt and gtx chips, and you could soft mod to 7900gtx.

yhea I haven't seen any 9600gso for sale excecpt for the 2 on newegg

I beleive this is a hoax, also you might want to scan your computer for viruses, it has been reported that the webpage contains one.

Good for System Restore, I restored it back and scanned

also I don't even think thats possible, only 8800gs to 9600gso
