Default 8800 Ultra benchmarks

8800 Ultra will initially cost about $829, (factory overclocked versions may cost more)

dissapointing
for the performance you gain, i cant see the price justified
for that price you can get 2 gts's that will outperform it

8800 Ultra performed better than 2 GTS in Rainbox six

There still many games that are not fully optimized to SLI ...............

Can you overclock a GTX to Ultra speeds? Or it's not likely.

I think you can if you voltmod it

However, the ultra use a new revision of G80 silicon that allows for higher clock speeds. So, this means that the Ultra can be overclocked to higher speeds than an overclocked GTX

They probably just want to make a little extra profit, to compete with the X2900XT coming out. And maybe that will decrease the price of the GTX.

Why? You can volt mod an 8800GTX and add a water block and overclock it higher a lot higher yourself than an Ultra for 200 bucks less while still being cooler temps.

Just a stupid idea..and if your not an overclocker than its still a horrible idea as the performance increase is not enough at all to go from an 8800GTX
