Actually, 8GHz on liquid nitrogen doesn't seem that impossible, I mean, if P4's could do it way back when, then why not a chip that can do 5GHz on air?

I remember reading an article about some Japanese people overclocking a P4 to 7Ghz. BUT that was with some sort of extreme cooling system. So imagine the Yorkfield with that kind of cooling, it'd probably overclock to 15GHz. lol

that's freaking crazy. lol especially since its with air cooling. That must have been some good ram tho, to clock that high.

I hit 4.1ghz on my q6600 this weekend ON AIR. Admittedly my apt was 59F when i started. 1.55v

hrmmm this is starting to look like the p4 days again... we're raising the ghz!!!!!! and lowering the die!!!! hopefully... amd comes out w/ a crazyyy architecture again.. and history repeats.... otherwise.. everything would jsut suck
