Default $400 semi gaming computer

Hey guys. I'd like a computer to use mostly for home use but also a few rts'. It's hardest challenge would probably be company of heroes. I've tried adding a few things up and got a decent one on cyberpowerpc for just under $400 but i know that i can do better by building it myself. I don't have any other requirements although i'd prefer ddr2. Can you guys make some suggestions? Thanks.

i know it typically would be with fps' but i thought it might be possble because of the low requirements of strategy games.

slightly, but not worth the extra cost. 7600GT should serve you well, or if you want an extra kick, for an 8600GT price you can pick up a 7900GS

Newegg.com - BFG Tech BFGR79256GSOCE GeForce 7900GS 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 SLI Supported Video Card - Retail

of course it's with one of those dumb MIR's, but meh.

Actually vernong, your build is overall better, but I was strictly staying within his budget. Your's is a little over $400. If he can stretch that much, I'd suggest he go with your's.

Good call, Sora.
