Default 22" LCD and Video Card

What video card would I need to use on a 22" LCD that displays at 1680 x 1050
plus I would like to be able to throw some AA and AF at it and still have good FPS....like abot 40 fps in a fire fight...you know, lots of stuff happening on the screen and maintain 40 fps..

So what video card for 1680 x 1050 and some aa and af

can I take the resolution down to 1440 x 900 if need be on a 22" monitor, will it still look good???? or should I just get a 19" with a native resolution of 1440 x 900????

I want a good gaming experience with good framerates.....what monitor and video card do you guys suggest????

An 8800GT 512 would handle well on 1680 x 1050. If you dropped the resolution to 1440 x 900, you'll get more frames, but it's not going to look as good or sharp as it's native 1680 x 1050. If you get a 19" with 1440 x 900, the 8800GT will manhandle it.

Depends what your budget is.

8800GTX>8800GTS 512mb>8800GT 512mb

Or the 3870x2 is coming out on the 23rd but will be pricey

Well I'd get this one: Newegg.com - BFG Tech BFGE88512GTSE GeForce 8800GTS (G92) 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Retail

But the 3870x2 comes out Wednesday, so I'd wait to see what the pricing is like on that.

Ok....for the price and performance...would this be a good 22" lcd for gaming

Newegg.com - SAMSUNG 226BW Black 22" 2 ms (GTG) DVI Widescreen LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 700:1(DC 3000:1) - Retail

If you know of anything that is better for cheaper...please let me know.

3870X2 is coming out in 4 days @ $450 and will completely rape everything!!!

but you have an nvidia chipset mobo so... I'd say get an 8800GT, save up a little more money and buy another 8800GT down the road.
