Default 2 Quick questions about RAM and sound cards

I was looking at the specs for the GIGABYTE GA-EP43-DS3L LGA 775 Intel P43 ATX Intel Motherboard and it says the Memory Standard is DDR2 1200(O.C) / 1066

However, in the list of recommended parts, all memory is listed as DDR2 800.

Is this the right memory I should buy? I was thinking about getting

Patriot Extreme Performance 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model PDC22G6400LLK - Retail

also, sound card not important for general gaming? The built-in sound fine?

It will still work...

Sound Cards are somewhat useful, if you have really good ears and if you get an X-Fi one it'll take some load of the CPU and get a few extra FPS

I don't use one though, since the onboard ones are really improved over the years and they usually have HD audio

I do not accept support requests by PM, Profile or IM/Email. Please ask it on the forums!

I need to RMA myself because I was DOA when I was born.

Recommended parts is just what they have tested, if it says it supports 1066mhz ram then it should work fine.
