Default 1k to spend

well, ive got 1000pounds to spend on a computer, i need everything but a mouse and a cd-drive

any help would be appreciated

With his budget he can afford a 4870 no problem. 1000 pounds is like 2,000$ (USD).

Yeah I finally got the guts to get my CPU at 3ghz : D CPU Voltage at 1.35 Volts. Idle Temperature is a little high. So I m going to have to get a better heat sink soon.

Maybe then I can get 3.2 stable without having to fry my motherboard.

Looks good, check Scan.co.uk or overclockers.co.uk for this stuff

I recommend the Asus P5Q Deluxe because of its 8 phase power, Cases are personal preference, if you want you could buy 1 HD 4870 and 1 HD 4870X2 when it comes out for a rig that destroys every game out there (maybe not Crysis)

i shouldve made it more clearer i need a monitor too, but im set on one which is 200pounds, so i got 800 to spend on : CPU, GPU, Hard-drive, MOBO, Case, keyboard and ram, everything but cd drive and mouse basically

Use Ebuyer - Cheap Computers, Laptops, Digital Cameras, TVs & more! over overclockers, they're not very reliable

and £1k = $1800 approx
