Planning to get a new Seagate Barracuda SATA NCQ 160GB hard drive for my pc but wanted to know if it will work in my pc or if any hard drive i get for my pc will work in it

Well is the hard drive that you plan on buying SATA or IDE? Make sure if it's a SATA drive your motherboard supports it. Otherwise if it's IDE you should be fine.

its a sata barrucuda 160GB hard drive im planning to get, im gonna assume the IDE is a driver that has the thin wire things that you use and you have things you have to move on it like SLAVE & MASTER control...really i wouldnt be able to know if my motherboard supports SATA or IDE lol im useless i know

what motherboard are you using, check to see if it has any sata inputs before you buy that hard drive.

nope doesnt have those connectors, im assuming they arnt for IDE drives?

correct, those are SATA. You have IDE, so be sure you buy that one!

BTW, good choice on the Seagate Barracuda!
