Default what do you think about this upgrade?

specs.
Athlon 64 X2 5000+ @2.6GHZ
thermaltake 500W psu +12v1@14 AMPS +12v2@15 AMPS
Hp ram pc5300 @667MHZ
segate sata 360 7200 rpm HD
hitachi 320 sata 7200 rpm HD
MSI 8800GT OC@660/1900

I have a crappy hp desktop a6200n that i decided to buy because i have credit... anyways I recently upgraded it with a thermaltake 500W power supply and an 8800GT. I cant say that im getting my full potential from my 8800GT... 3DMARK06 score is horrible at 6102... I cant say that im getting horrible performance in games per say but I it could be better from what i have read from others. Could this be from my crappy hp motherboard and ram?

I plan to upgrade the CPU to an 5600+@2.9GHZ and buy some good corsair dominator ram or xms2 pc6400..

My real question is... would this be worth it? could my cpu clock speed be bottlenecking my 8800GT? along with the ram? or am i screwed with the hp mobo.. and no upgrading would be worth it.

You got the 512mb gt didn't you?

How much ram do you have?

I think your score could be dropped by the cpu, i not sure if it effects 3d mark performance besides on the cpu tests.

Your mobo will definitely slow you down... as well as prevent you from overclocking.

Is it a micro or standard ATX?
