Default Well, whadaya think? (First-time build)

Well, after a lot of problems with hard drives and novice-related issues, I got my computer up and running. Here's the specs:

P4 3.0C HT 800 MHz FSB 512K L2 Cache
Abit AS-7 865PE
1 GB Corsair Value PC3200
Windows XP Pro SP2
Western Digital 80 GB SATA-150
Samsung 52x/32x/52x CD-RW/DVD
NVidia GeForce MX420 64 MB
SB Live!
Aspire X-Plorer Case (2x 80mm fans)
2x UV Case Lights
Rosewill 450W PSU

Unlike most of the people on here, I don't use my comp for gaming, I just like everything running FAST and SMOOTH!

So...whadaya think?

Well, I sold my processor, motherboard, and RAM from my previous OEM computer so it cost me about $400 after selling those parts. I kept the monitor, video card, sound card, speakers, and OS from my OEM system as well. So if I had purchased each component I have now it would have easily cost me over a grand.

If I had a little more cash, I think I might've sprung for Windows 2000 over XP.

Why did you not use a dual core processor?

'Cause I'm a college student and I don't have another $200 lying around?
