AMD64x2_4400 is on a distinguished road

Default Vista question... help please

i have 32bit vista... i have 2gb ram.... i want to upgrade to 4gb of ram... is there a way besides going to 64bit to get as much out of the 4gb as possible? if so please let me know thanks... if not how much will be recognized 3.5? i have a radeon x1250 graphics cards came installed on comp.. thanks again

no you would have to go to 64bit with 32bit you can go up to 3gb.

no u can't upgrade for free, at least not that im aware of. The amount of RAM recognized is 4096 minus the amount of RAM your graphics card has.

not free but I upgraded my vista home premium to 64 bit for like $9.95 on their website.

Also as mentioned you will lose the amount of ram that your card takes up, I.e 512mb card, 4096 - 512 = 3.584

If you have Windows Vista x32/86, you are able to order an x64 DVD or CDs off of their Website. I know the retail package comes with a card that gives you a link, not sure about the OEM. You enter your product key and they send you a disk, as someone said, for $10.

The retail version of Vista Ultimate comes with the 32 bit and the 64 bit DVD's (one liscence key)
