Hi, I have narrowed my video card choices down to these two by Evga, both 7900GT's. I see a $50 difference in price and was trying to stay as close to $300 as possible. Can anyone tell me if it's really worth the extra price to jump up, or is the one for $319 good enough? Thanks, I'm not very knowledgable with video cards.
Personally I would go with the cheaper one. That 50MHz isn't gong to make a noticeable difference at all. If you were really concerned about making that extra few MHz, then you could likely overclock the cheaper one to the same speed.
You can overclock it your self for a grand total of $0. I would go for the cheaper one too. If it was $5 or so, then I would go for the higher clocked one.
The normal and CO versions are the same card, the CO is just overclocked and holds no more or no less OCing potential than the normal version. So ... go with the normal version and you can OC it just as much as the CO version. The superclocked edition is another story.
Yeah! Always good to save money I'm using a 21" CRT monitor now and won't be getting a LCD for a while. Are those little adapters they show in the picture able to covert it so I can use my standard VGA?
