So I just purchased a Gateway GT5252 and It has 2 PCI slots, I just got a TV Tuner card and I am looking to upgrade the video capabilities, now the other PCI slot is currently being occupied by what looks to be a modem, it has 2 telephone jacks coming out of the back of the PC, I am using ethernet, would it be a problem for to take out that PCI card so I can install a new Video card in there?

If you dont use the modem at all for anything then dont see why not. might want to uninstall the drivers too.

Yeah thats what I was thinking, I just wasnt sure, I didnt want to screw up any of the system settings by not having a device that the drivers access at boot up or anything...

ohh and one more thing, i was correct in thinking it was a modem, could it be anything else, again the only ports that it has are 2 telephone ones?
