After running a couple more benchmarks on my system I found out that
my video card is weakest link. I researched quite a bit on the the nvidia cards and saw that there are tons if diff types of models. I went to Tomsharedware to look and see what they had to say but I think I confused myself even more lol. My question is would a 6600 gt outperform a 6800gs or plain 6800 all with 256md ram? I am basically looking to see if anyone can point me in the right direction as to what performs better. I have a pci-e slot too. Thanks for ur time.


edit: oh yeah I noticed the GT was the top of the line but couldnt figure out what GS meant as far as speed and quality is concerned.

Asus X700 for sale if you need one... Performs just below the 6600GT. Any 6800 series card will outperform any 6600 series card. Keep that in mind...

Get the 6800GS, its faster than the 6600GT and you can get it for around $160 at zipzoomfly.

I think after rebates it's about the same on newegg. Something like 154 before shipping, so I assume 5.99 shipping. They're getting affordable.
