X700 Pro totally sucks, and I'm not just saying that because I am an Nvidia fan. Get the 6600GT, its much, much better, and can play all of today's games on medium-high settings without lag.

Ah...most people think that memory determines the performance of the video card. It doesn't at all however. The 6600 GT is a much more powerful graphics processor than the X700 Pro and the extra processing power makes up for that lack of memory. The 6600 GT beats the X700 Pro in EVERY benchmark.

dont choose a video card solely on the memory.
If you have the money get a 6600, 6600GT, 6800, 6800GT
those are in order of performanc 6600 being the worst.. i think they are all under 200 bucks or right at 200.

In some instances (When 256mb's were first released) the performance dropped by a couple of FPS, as it can bog down the card with having too much.

Anyway, the 6600gt is a very good card.

Yea i can say that i have an x700 pro and got ripped off on it. I paid $175 for that piece of crap and i could have paid $150 for a 6600GT, which just destroys my card. Do yourself a favor, buy the 6600GT.
