Sorry for such a long list! In also will upgrade my psu to this Power Supplies & UPS: Power Supplies: 400W ATX - Australia Computer Online

so:
1. Which cards are the best (i am willing to overclock a little)
2. Will the psu work in my pc which is a HP dx5150 Business PC - Worldwide QuickSpecs
3. If the cards\psu aren't very good can you suggest a alternative around the same price!

Thanks,
yoshi

All of those cards are either slower than your current card or have close to the same performance.

Then can you suggest a better graphics card to buy which won't cost me days more work painting the roof?

Are any of the cards here that are less than $100 good:

Cheap computers & parts, New & Used, Delivered Australia-Wide

and would this PSU be any good?:

BESTA COOLERMAX 500W ATX POWER SUPPLY PSU: PSU-195-ADO-POW-0059 Cheap computers & parts, New & Used, Delivered Australia-Wide

You are seriously better off saving more money and getting a better card as you won't be able to buy one for under $100 that is much better than the card you have.

Try GameDude Computers OnLine Store

They have 9600 GT cards for $130 - 150

if you can find one under a 100$ a 9600gso or a hd4670 are great cards for the money. in the us they are all about 80-100 bucks.

Hmmm.. ok However if i get a 9600 then i won't have enough money to get a PSU. I have a 250w PSU which will need to be upraded to 500w for the 9600GSO. And is the 756mb worth the extra $50 from a 512 mb?
How much better will a 256 bit card run than a 128 bit card?
Is the 9600 GT much better than the 9600 GSO?

if you are going to get a 128 bit card then 512MB of RAM is useless as the bit rate is unable to use all the RAM

256 bit cards are significantly faster and are perfectly suited for 512MB cards.

Like I said before, you will need to spend a bit more if you really want to see a performance increase from your current card.

(BTW the 512MB cards with 64-bit interface you suggested in the first post would be an absolute waste of money)

So i was wanting to upgrade my graphics and give my old card to my little bro......... so should i get a just buy him a 128 mb nvidia 6200 since that is all that is required for him to play Spore and buy something else? I have been thinking and i don't play any games like team fortress 2 or stalker so i don't need a better graphics card. What should i buy instead?

Newegg.com - EVGA 384-P3-N965-TR GeForce 9600 GSO 384MB 192-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards

Go with a 192 bit 384 GDDR3 card instead. If you can find or afford a 8800GT or a 9600GT that would be a better deal.

Hmm...... i've been thinking if i do buy that graphics card then i will still have to buy a new psu....... so i could by my bro this: ASUS GF7200GS, 256MB, DDR2, PCIEx16, VGA, HDTV, DVI [EN7200GS-HTD-256] - $31.00 : Megaware Computers, Australia :: Online Store which will be fine for Spore as it has Shader 3.0 (2.0 needed for SPore) and buy this AMD AM2 Athlon 64 X2 6000+ Dual Core CPU,(125W Version) 3.0Ghz, 2 x 128KB, 2 x 1MB L2 Cache, Boxed [ADX6000CZBOX] - $112.00 : Megaware Computers, Australia :: Online Store

For $30+ cheaper than the 9600GSO!

Would i need more power for it though? Would that be a better alternative than buying the 9600GSO. I did a psu calculator and found that my 250w will just scrape in for the processor? Will the cpu fit into my mother board? is there a better cheaper/same priced cpu to buy?
