Default Upgrading CPU - will it mess up XP?

I don't want to get a new board, so I will be upgrading my Celeron 2.93Ghz to a Pentium 4 Extreme Edition 3.4Ghz. Will this screw up XP, or require me to reinstall the OS? I have upgraded my CPU a couple times before, but I can't remember if it required a reload... I know when I replaced the m/b I had to reinstall OS.

Also, can anyone tell me in terms of performance what I can expect going from the Celeron to the P4EE?

Thanks!

Don't worry.....changing the processor has nothing to do with the OS. It's only when you install a new motherboard, that affects the OS. You'll notice a pretty good increase.
