Default Upgrading Back-Up Build Monitor

Sup all, I keep forgetting to check back XD.

Now, I have a back-up Dell that runs pretty nice if anything should happen to my main build. It has a crappy 15" CRT though, so I am looking to upgrade.

Now here is where the problem comes into play. The Dell has a sturdy 250W PSU. Now I did the calculations on:

http://www.jscustompcs.com/power_sup....php?cmd=INTEL

And I have got it coming to 247W out of 250W. Now that scares me because I do believe that LCD's use more than CRT's. Here is what I was thinking about upgrading to:

So really my question is, how much more power does an LCD use than a CRT?

LCDs use less power than CRTs, and your power supply doesn't matter when you use any monitor. You plug that into the wall socket, or surge protector, or whatever.

Yes but I didn't know if it drew power from the video card or something of the sort, as I really don't deal with monitors much -.-

Thanks for all the help guys.
