Default thinking about a laptop

http://www.abs.com/app/notebooks_compare.asp

I was thinking about the Mayhem G3 Eclipse XT

specs:

AMD TURION 64 MOBILE MT-34 1.8GHZ 800MHZ FSB 1MB L2 CACHE
2gb of kingston ram
ati radeon x1600 256mb
80gb hard drive with 7200 RPMs

And the other specs are on the customize page.

Sounds like you want a decent power machine for business but enough to play some decent games? The ram seems fine for it but I dont know if id get that small a harddrive unless your not gonna load it up with games. or get and external of course.

Like I was showing you I have a fairly similar laptop (also an ABS) and it's been great so far, plays all my games very well. I'm even typing on it right now
The only downside is the battery life, it's tough to eek out more than 2.5hrs out of the 6-cell battery. Not a huge deal but something you might keep in mind. Honestly I'd rather have the high end graphics from my laptop than get 3+ hrs out of a slower one.

you do have an abs laptop?

Where did you get it (link please) just wondering.

I want to use a laptop for gaming.

Don't need a large hard drive.

I have 760gb 2 300gb hard drives and 1 160gb hard drive and i am only using about 50gb so 80gb will last a while.

I've got this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16834224060
It was actually cheaper than ABS' site as they're affiliated with Newegg.
Here's all of the ABS laptops they carry:

Video is key in a gaming laptop, it's got to be good. I put an extra gig of ram into mine and I'm plaing Oblivion at 1024x768 on High perfectly. I have yet to try plaing at native but I think it'd run fine there too.
