I'm thinking of getting the Thermalright XP90 to overclock my 3500, and I've heard it is quite large, will it fit in my Antec Performance One case with an ASUS A8N motherboard?
Can someone look at the pic and tell me if my xp-90 is mounted on the right way. I wish it would cover the cpu right in the middle of the base but it seems like it can only fit like this. If the heatpipes side of the heatsink was closest to the memory sticks, would that be better?
hmmm.... What I dont like is how the fan is way to the right of the cpu and is not blowing directly down onto the cpu. I might try different directions tomorrow to see if it does me any good. Its been the way I've had it in the pics for several months, and my cpu is pretty cool at idle, but it cant hurt to experiment
that is the design of the dpu, that is what heatpipes are for, what that is doing, since the bulk of the heatsink isnt on the cpu, but up higher for reasons such such as Ram chips
