| Monster Techie | Ok, I am taking this 80GB ATA Maxtor out of my old comp, and I am going to put it into this new build. Now, it has XP Home on it, but I bought a new version of XP that is on the way. I am wondering when I clear my HD, if I should just clear it into one partition or go ahead and make a new partition and let it format, before I switch it over. |

| As you wish! There are two ways to resolve your problem. First: you may format partition with OS, and instal XP, but I there's a probability that you won't be able see another partition. If you don't need information on your HDD, it better to format it all. But if you need, you could make a backup of your second partition, and restore it after format and install new XP. |
