Metalork is on a distinguished road

Default So I just bought 4gig ram

I just got OCZ reapars 800mhz 2x2gig sticks.

I got a copy of vista 64 ready to get installed after I get an answer on soem questions !

I had 2x1gig of 667mhz ram before, can I put my OCZ reapers with that ?
Will I see a difference in perfomance since my new ram will "downgrade" to 667mhz.

Would I be better to have 4gig @ 800mhz than 6gig @ 667 ????

Thx !

The faster ram downclocks it's speed to match the frequentcy of your sticks. If your using 6GB of ram, I'm sure your going to see a lot of benefits using a 64bit OS.

It could be that the new stuff doesnt work with the old stuff. Or you have to go into the BIOS and manually downclock the new stuff to match the speed of the old stuff to get them all working together.
