Default Should I wait for more power?

Hello,

I just recieved my BFG 6600GT OC, but the power supply that I ordered is back-ordered and won't be here for another week or so. I have a 250W PSU right now, but the card recommends a 350W PSU. Is it important for me to wait until I get my new PSU before I do the installation of the card?

I don't know if it matters or not, but I do not have much in my computer. It is just 1 hard drive, 1 DVD, 1 CD Burner, sound card, and a network card.

Cheers.

I would recommend that you wait for the PSU to come in stock or just buy a different PSU

That was fast.

I'll just wait then. It was only a 2-5 day wait time, plus shipping.

Thanks.

I would personally wait, but I ran a vanilla 6600 on a 250w hp powersupply and it kept up. But I returned the 6600 within two weeks so I didn't have it for long

Yea you should wait. The last thing you want to happen is your 250W PSU craps out on you and takes your 6600GT down with it...
