Default SATA 3.0 w/ SATA 1.5

I have a MSI K8N board which supports only SATA 1.5 Gb/s.

Since this Seagate is a SATA 3gb/s, would i still be able to use it, just at 1.5gb/s instead of 3gb/s?

dumb question maybe, but you can never be too sure

Yes, that's exactly right.

3 in a 1.5 slot = 1.5gb/s
3 in a 3 slot = 3gb/s
1.5 in a 3 slot = 1.5gb/s
1.5 in a 1.5 slot = 1.5gb/s
