Default Rewiring speakers...

Ok so I'm not really sure where to ask about this so I'm just gonna stick it here and hope for the best.

I have a set of speakers that came with a surround sound dvd player but the dvd player no longer works and i would like to set up those speakers to work with my computers headphone jack. There are five speakers and a subwoofer that came with the dvd player.

The wires that come with the dvd speakers look like

I would like to hook these up to work with

So i have a feeling it is possible to do this.. i just don't know how... I would be happy if i could get at least like right/left stuff right but i really don't need them to be the totally surround sound experience that they were with the dvd player what with the front vs back speakers but mainly i just want them to work.

So if anyone can point me to a guide that could tell me how to do this or just explain how to here i would be very grateful!

Default Re: Rewiring speakers...

sell the surround sound and buy a 2.1 kit. plug this into one of the spare audio inputs and go to your audio settings and change from a stero speaker set up to 5.1.

Thats how i did it on my computer...
