Default Rate My First Build

How about this?
  • MSI K9A2 CF-F AM2+/AM2 AMD 790X ATX AMD Motherboard - Retail
  • SAPPHIRE 100226L Radeon HD 3850 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Retail
  • AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ Windsor 2.6GHz Socket AM2 65W Dual-Core Processor Model ADO5200CZBOX - Retail
  • G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F2-6400CL5D-2GBNQ - Retail
  • Sony NEC Optiarc 20X DVD±R DVD Burner Black IDE Model AD-7190A - OEM
  • Please suggest a case - something all black (or close to it) with good air flow! I don't know if I like the blue LEDs on the Antec 900s.

I already have these parts at home
  • Adaptec DUOCONNECT Combo Firewire & USB 2.0 PCI Card, 2 Firewire, 3 USB 2.0 Ports
  • Ultra V Series 500W Power Supply
  • Maxtor 200 GB PATA133 HDD

Mainly going to use this for CSS & TF2. Nothing more.

really good build. although depending on what you want to do you might want to consider an intel build, it could give you more performance, but could be a little more expensive.

other then that looks good, that 3850 is a killer card.

Newegg.com - LIAN LI PC-7B plus II Black Aluminum ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Retail

a bit pricey, but lian-li is arguably one of the best case companies as far as aesthetics go.

Thanks - the case seems to produce loud fan noises, as left by many reviewers. I still might consider it.

For this build, would I need any other forms of cooling? I'm a kind of newb at this stuff, so not too sure.

How about:

Newegg.com - Antec P182 Gun Metal Black 0.8mm cold rolled steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Retail

Looks sleek/professional.

Also, if I do get some cooling, such as Arctic Cooling how would I install it?

Also, is there another mobo I can buy that won't degrade the performance of my system? Maybe a 10-20$ cheaper?

Some of the Gigabyte Mobos are good, and fairly cheap too.

Check newegg.com

I currently have this right now, that is being unused:

Amazon.com: Ultra ULT31584 Wizard ATX Mid-Tower PC Case (Blue): Electronics

Can I buy ONE 120mm fans and put it on the case... will this case + fan combo be good enough to support the system I have here, as far as air flow and ventilation?

So Im looking at only 120mm fan for my cooling, for this system.
