Default RAM Compatibility

If I bought some DDR800 RAM would I be able to run it at 266 MHz? heh. My mobo supports DDR400, and my FSB will only allow up to DDR266.

I ask this because PC2100 is more expensive than PC6400.

Are you talking about DDR2? DDR2 can not work with DDR. You can always lower the clock on memory if its the same type.
