Default Ram which is better?

Ok wellmy brother just upgraded to a 4 gig, 2g ea., and he had previously ran a 2 gig on his machine, 1 gig ea., and he said that i can have his 2 gig ram that runs at 667 mhz each and on my machine right now it's running only 1 gig at 800 mhz, 548mb ea., so I was wondering which would run better? Pretty obvious question I would say the two gig but what if I'm wrong? So tell me what I should do please

Default Re: Ram which is better?

What you could do is swap out the 1GB for the 2GB at 667mhz, a lot of ram runs at 800mhz from 10 years ago, it's not a crawl compared to 200 or 266mhz.

The other option is putting all three sticks in, the 667mhz in first then the 800mhz. The faster ram will match the 667mhz and probably register as 3.5GB on your pc.
