im going to purchace 512 ram soon, and i was wondering what brand/type would be the best to get. also what brands are reliable and somewhat cheap?

you should get either corsair, ocz, kingston, g skill, or patriot ram. make sure its pc3200 though - charlie

By regular ram, i think you mean high performance ram. value ram is great for people who do not OC, and HP ram can OC well.
