Default Is RAID0 worth it?

I was wondering whether buying two disks and setting them in RAID 0 would provide a signifcant speed boost over buying a single disk (with twice the capacity). For instance, what would you prefer: a 200GB Seagate 7200rpm HDD, or two 100GB Seagate 7200rpm HDDs in RAID0 mode?

RAID 0 Does offer some preformence increase. How much? It differs among opinions but it is greater then just one drive reguardless of opinion.

For the performance yes....but not for security, because if one fails, it takes the other drive with it.
