Default Quieter fans for my PC

Hey everyone,

My computer's noise has been annoying me for long enough so I finally decided to try to quiet it down with some new fans. Its an Emachines D3024 (ya I know) with a 80mm case fan and a 60mm CPU fan.

I'm not an overclocker and I don't think cooling is a big issue, so any decent fans should do. What I'm really looking for are the quietest fans that will work and still keep my comp alive. Quieter fans tend to be bigger so I was thinking of using some adapters for one or both of the fans. Is this a horrible idea or can I get away with it?

Now then, what fans/adapters would you guys recommend?

Thanks

Look for something with under 30 dba (even 20). The higher the cfm the better. Ive been using panaflos for a while and they are pretty much dead silent. I also hear those Aerocool Turbine fans are really quiet and still move alot of air. You could also install noise dampening material on the inside of your case to lower the noise.

that zalmann definitely looks like it could do the trick but it's too much $.

Is anyone familiar with Enermax fans? I can not seem to find much information on them but this site ranks them as the quietest fan by a decent margin:

http://www.directron.com/noise.html

The PC power and cooling fan comes in second and is a few dollars more so I'll probably get that unless someone can comment on the Enermax fans.

Also, how about using an adapter like this one: http://www.directron.com/akm1683.html

Will it be ok?

a TT silent fan will do the trick nicely and they're not terribly expensive.

Does anyone have any experience with a fan adapter? I'm kind of nervous to get one since no one has said anything

Search newegg for panaflow fans, as for the 60mm cpu fan, not sure which would be the quietest option.
