Default Power Supply

Hey Everyone!

I just finished choosing my parts for my computer after much research.

CPU- Newegg.com - Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 Conroe 2.66GHz 4M shared L2 Cache LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor - Retail

Motherboard- Newegg.com - GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3P Rev 2.0 LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Ultra Durable 2, Ultra Cooling Intel Motherboard - Retail

RAM- Newegg.com - Crucial Ballistix Tracer 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Retail

Video Card- Newegg.com - XFX PVT88PYDQ4 GeForce 8800GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Retail

Hard Drive- Newegg.com - Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST3250310AS 250GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - OEM

.-please leave your opinions on this setup

.-im going to be using my old case and monitor

i just need a power supply that will let me overclock and will hold a second video card for the future. i might also get a quadcore later on.right now im on a budget.
any suggestions???

as far as a psu goes, get a 520hx.
Newegg.com - CORSAIR CMPSU-520HX ATX12V v2.2 and EPS12V 2.91 520W Power Supply 100 - 240 V UL, CUL, CE, CB, FCC Class B, TUV, CCC, C-tick - Retail

also if you're on a budget then don't get the tracers, just get a 2 gig kit of ballistix. also if you know for certain if you are going to get a quad core then don't spend that much on a cpu. If you are going to overclock then get a e2160 or e2160 for 80 and 85 respectively, because they can both hit 3.0ghz easily.

will the stock fan be able to handle the overclock to 3.0ghz or will i need to buy a new one.??

stock is fine they run cool. 21 idle 44 load w as5 and stock fan

on an EVGA 680i with stock cooling a e2160 can oc to 3.0ghz. it might be a little different, but you should be able to achieve around the same numbers on stock.
