Default Power Over Wireless

Hi Im new here,

Im just wondering if anyone as heard of 'Power Over Wireless' the transfer of electricity to things such as cell phones without a cable. MIT University have developed a coil system which powers laptops wirelessly.

Anyone heard of it?

Thats right, there are two companies that Ive heard of that will launch products which charge cell phones by simply placing them on the pad over the next 2 years.
