Default Is this possible? ATi and nV video cards in the same comp?

I really want to play PS2 on my monitor, but I have done some research and found out that my 8800GT isn’t Vivo

So my new plan is to:

Input PS2 video into my Vivo ATi X1550, and output the video to the monitor through my 8800GT. I don’t want to keep swapping my video cards in and out of my system, because of the obvious drawbacks which that would entail.

So would this work? Or would there be terrible driver conflicts?

Thanks.

you can get the differing brands to work...but I am not sure if it's a 100% thing, 50% thing...or worse case scenario less than 25%

maybe check msi p35 product forum?

As long as you arent using vista it should work fine. I have 2 GTS512's with an ati1650pro for my 2nd monitor. Works great in xp, vista disables the ATI card though.

GTS - sli
1650pro - 2nd monitor
GTS - sli

Thats how they're rigged up. My board has 3 pci-e slots.

Veedub, do you have both ATi and nV drivers running at the same time?
