When I start my Compaq Pesario sr1630NX the system starts to boot,,,, but stops at the Phoenix BIOS page and does not continue on its own,,, like it used to after a few seconds.

I have two options;

hit F1 to go to "set up"

or

hit F2 to continue boot up

I would like to go back to the way it was prior so I do not have to hit F2.

Where is the option to fix this?

Thank you for the welcome! I am sorry I did not get back right away,,, for some reason I thought I had checked the box to be notified by mail if anyone had responded

What I had done was unhook my hard drive from my desktop tower and in its place hooked up an old working hard drive that I had laying around,,, as I wanted to reformat it so I could use it as an external storage.

When I was done with the old hard drive reformat, I removed it from the tower,,, and I plugged my desktop hard drive back in,,, and started the system,,, now it stops (instead of continuing on its own),,, at the Phonix BIOS page.

I did not change any settings that I know of
