Default Pcmcia

I was reading something about PCMCIA's in laptops. It said something about putting a video card through one of those. Could someone please ellaborate on that for me? Is it true?

Hi werdna35,

From what I understand, not it is not true at the present time. Currently from what I understand the most popular connections are PCI-E, AGP, PCI, and integrated. If it does exist it would not be ideal to buy a video card that way because practically no 3rd party companies would support that connection.

Let me know if I'm wrong!

pcmcia is much too slow to put video cards through. The best they've got are tv tuners but actual video cards do not exist. All pcmcia is used for now is CF readers, wireless cards, and air cards (get internet anywhere from Verizon or Sprint), not much else.
