Default pci express 2.0 graphics card on motherboard thats not.

I heard that you can have a graphics card thats pci express 2.0 x16 and a motherboard that has pci express x16. I want to know whats going to happen, like a huge lost in game play, or not going to look as great, that sort of stuff.

Motherboard:

A PCI-e 2.0 card will work fine in a PCIE x16 motherboard.

look at my sig. i have a 9800gtx with a pentium D. and i get 30fps in crysis settings on high an 1680x1050 and a mobo that does 8x pci-x speed

thx for you help, can i ask another question. Tell me what 24 pin and 20+4 pin, are they the same thing?
