Hey, haven't been to these forums in forever.. But anyway I have been looking around at these new geforce 8 series video cards, the GT's instead of the GTX/GTS series. I was wondering what is PCI-e 2.0 as oppose to x16? Is it something that only new motherboards have? Because the 8800GT as oppose to the 8800GTX/GTS is wayy cheaper.

Any help is appreciated.. just curious if I could use 2.0 with my mobo or if its something completely new.

PCI-e 2.0 is backwards compatible with PCI-e x16 so if you have that slot, your ready for the that 8800gt
