Newbie PSU Question (fans)

Hello All,

I've noticed on several PSU's I've seen lately that they have what looks like a fan on the top of it. Here is a sample of a PSU with what I am talking about. (link is just a sample, it's not a PSU I am looking to buy)

I'm seeing this on a lot of PSU's, and on my case it's solid above the PSU, meaning I don't see how it could get any air to that fan. Is it meant to be put in upside down so the fan is facing down inside the case?

Sorry, I'm clueless. I am in the market for a new PSU and I don't want to purchase something that I can't use.

Any info is appreciated

the fan is supposed to be on the bottom. Atleast that is how mine is

they got it pictured wrong. its supposed to be flipped the other way..

lol...they are pictured that way to show the fan as well but when u install them, they are faced down...lol

Thanks guys, I was afraid some new case mods were out with a vent up top or something. Sigh. I guess it's not THAT ridiculous of a theory.
