Question A new processor with a sticker on it...

Hello, dear users!
I need your advice. Today I have bought a new processor in a computer store.
I've received the processor with the sticker on ... its pins that should not be touched. I was told that if I remove this sticker, I lose the guarantee...
Will it work if I put it into the socket like I was told to put it(with a sticker on it), or should I remove the sticker.
I tend to believe that they're not right.
Thanks in advance,
Nick

Ya a picture would be great. Or even telling us what the processor is and where it was bought and what the sticker says. I have never seen a processor with a sticker on it.

There shouldn't be a sticker on it anywhere. There is a piece of plastic on the bottom for protection but it should be removed.

Are you sure they weren't talking about the sticker on the box?
