will this processor work in my mobo?

Cex.co.uk : computing : processors : AMD Processors : Phenom II X4 940 Black Ed (3.0GHz) AM2+

i have a amd phenom triple core at the moment in side it

mobo is a geforce 8100VM_m5

run cpu-z to get the full name.
CPUID

Or go to the manufactures website and look up the supported cpu for you motherboard.

No 940 on the current list you need to check if there has been a bios update to support it.
