Default new laptop needed

alright, my friend is in the market for a NEW laptop, under 1500.

i recommended a sony vaio from compusa, but im wondering if any one else has good suggestions

desired specs: core duo or centrino proc, 100gb hd, dvdrw, 1gb ram, LIGHT! something like a 14.1 wxga would be good.

http://www.compusa.com/products/prod...E670G_Notebook

although that one is a bit on the heavy side.

thanks!

Vaios are overpriced. I would check out HP/Compaq.

They also have great student discounts if he is a student
