Hello Tech Forum. Some of you may remember me. I haven't posted on the board in a long time due to so reasons, one of which being a job. Again I appologize for the long absence but I have recently aquired a new laptop. It has the same processor my last desktop had, Athlon XP 2200+ but it is running at a much slower rate. I was wondering if it is possible to get it to run at the same rate as my desktop, and at what cost. (Battery life, heating, ect.) Your reply would be greatly appreciated.

a laptop will run slower anyway. But more ram will help it on its way!

A mobile athlon xp is going to run slower than a desktop one, this is due to a laptop's heat issues. The best thing you can do is buy more ram for your lappy imo.
