Default New Computer, Your Thoughts

Just want you input. I was thinking about jumping up to the amd 4800 and go ahead and getting the 7800gtx but I need more input on the system i am building.

As you can see I will be SLIing. Just what do you guys think?

Yes, go for the 7800GTX!!

But i would use the FX-57 in your application. fx-57>4800+

Fill me in, I heard that the fx57 was kinda overpriced because you can make the 55 do the same thing.

take a look at the benchmarks on these charts. Youll see that the FX-57 is the overall best. The FX-55 is a very close second, so you're right. I just thought you were looking for the "best" and suggested the best....

hey hercules_upw thanks i was just wondering. I don't mind spending money on good stuff, i just want to make sure i get the best value for my money.

Then scrap the Raptor. Too expensive for what it does...

RAID0 a couple of Barracudas together (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822148040). They ahve NCQ, and are close enough to the Raptors speed that the human senses cannot tell them apart. And you still come out $30+ and 86GB ahead.

^^ thats only a 7200 rpm i want at least 10k rpm
