Default Need a decent computer for $350

I'm not doing any gaming so you don't have to worry about that. The only thing is that I want something that good enough for video editing so 1GB of RAM would be nice. Everything else should be okay. Any celerons or semprons are good for the CPU.

you need monitor/keyboard/mouse/speakers ?

or just tower?

it would be very hard to pull off everything w/ $350

ok.. you have a couple of ways to go...

here's one option with integrated video:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813135011

http://www.newegg.com/product/Produc...82E16819103633

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820141225

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817104953

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822135106

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811125450

total: $346.45

and if you decide you need a vid card you can some time later when you hve money add a video card..

orr.. the second option would be to get a lower-end cpu and maybe a case-pus combo and get a low end 6200/7300 gpu.

For an operating system, you could use Linux.

Linux is completely free, they even mail it out to you for free. Just choose a version and you're ready!

RAM is the main thing about making a computer work smoothly.

Any prebuilt suggestions? You can knock the RAM down to 512MB for a prebuilt.

Actually, Dell is NOT cheap right now in Canada. In America, they're OK. They have the Dimension 1100 starting at $299:

Specs:
Intel Celeron D 325 2.5 Ghz
256MB RAM
80GB UltraATA HD
48X CD-RW/16X DVD-ROM combo drive
Windows XP Home Edition
17" E773 CRT monitor
1-year warranty

For $80 more, you get:

16X DVD writer dual-layer
512MB RAM
160GB SATA HD
