I had to purchase a new motherboard for my computer because i believe i fried my old motherboard. So i purchased the MSI p965Neo-F V2. When i got home, I took out my old motherboard, and screwed in my new one. I attached most of the cables to the board, but i wasnt sure where all the led case lights, power button and reset button go. But what i realised is that this piece was lying on the floor, i dont know what it is. Does anyone here know what it is?
It's the motherboard or internal speaker. It helps in diagnosing BIOS errors, or if something is wrong, it will beep. It's not necessary to install, but it's a good idea to.
I got my system to boot, but its is laggy as ****. Could this be cause due to not enought/ to much thermal paste? Or the heasink not being properly attached? because mine has 1 broken clip making it not perfect.
