Exclamation Monitor and Hard drive question

Hi All,

Two questions but i figured i would make it into one thread.

1. Is it possible to have a sata hard drive and a IDE hard drive running off the the same motherboard?
2. I have my laptop (Sony VAIO FZ18L) which i have plugged into one of my TV's via a component cable -> VGA (TV - Samsung LE32R7). However, i get a "mode not supported" message, apart from the obvious it say that the mode is not supported, am i doing something wrong? Worse come, I can plug a direct VGA to VGA cable in instead.

Thanks for your time.

Stu

1. Yeah, if your mobo supports the ports.

2. Don't know much about output to tv's.
