| Ultra Techie | Give us a specific budget to work with... Off the top of my head save a few bucks with a cheaper mobo and cpu and use that $$$ bump up the GPU and 2GB RAM. Give a $$$ cap and someone will come along with a better all around build than what you've posted. |

| That case seems a bit too cheap for its own good. Also, if you are building your first computer, it would be wise to buy a Full-Tower case as it would allow you a LOT more room to work with. Just make sure your desk is big enough to fit the case. ![]() Good Luck! |

| Techalicious | I would change the GPU to a 4670 or a 9600GT/9600GSO/8800GS |

| Go with this motherboard instead, its cheaper and will be better for that Wolfdale: Newegg.com - BIOSTAR TForce TP43D2A7 LGA 775 Intel P43 ATX Intel Motherboard - Intel Motherboards Then with the money saved it can get you one of these: Newegg.com - ASUS EN9600GT TOP/HTDI/512M GeForce 9600 GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards Which will perform way better than a 8600gt

| I believe the 4670 is more recommended than the 9600 due to price/performance. Of course, I've been wrong before. Either way they are both far better choices then a 8600gt.

| Actually a 9600gt pretty much at the same price of a 4670, performs a lot better: ATI Radeon 4670 Performance Preview

| Super Techie | Case: Newegg.com - XION Solaris XON-403 Black with Green LED Light Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Computer Cases Mainboard: Newegg.com - BIOSTAR TForce TP43D2A7 LGA 775 Intel P43 ATX Intel Motherboard - Intel Motherboards Video Card: Newegg.com - EVGA 512-P3-N860-TR GeForce 9600 GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards PSU: Newegg.com - Antec BP550 Plus 550W ATX12V V2.2 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Modular Active PFC Power Supply - Power Supplies CPU: Newegg.com - Intel Pentium E5200 Wolfdale 2.5GHz 2MB L2 Cache LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor - Processors - Desktops RAM: Newegg.com - OCZ Reaper HPC Edition 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Desktop Memory If it's a mid range gaming computer you probably wont need 4GB of RAM so you might as well get some good overclocking RAM that is 2GB. If you really want a SLI motherboard get the EVGA 750i FTW that is the cheapest and best (in price range) nVidia overclocking board, but the P43 will beat it.
