is it possible to install windows media center on my laptop? i have a compaq evo n610c 1.80ghz, 512mb upgradable to 1gig, 30gb, dvd, wireless, 14.1 xga screen. i also have a external tv tuner. is it possible to buy the WINDOWS MEDIA CENTER system software in stores, like best buy, compusa, microcenter?

yes its probably possible to install media center on you'r laptop, however try to download some version of it off the net, if it works good and you really wanna have a 'legal' copy, then buy it....... its best way to confirm whether it suites you or not... if you intend to pay anyway its not like you commited a crime

If you have quite a good laptop then download the 32bit version of Vista from MS. This includes the Media Centre. (512 of RAM minimum.)
